Both Audible and Kindle have them at a reasonable price. I love love love Strahd and Borovia. The two brothers eventually fall in love with the same young girl and because Strahd is so m I was not expecting to like this book as much as I did. The only problem is that it felt a little slow at first, but I’m willing to say that was due to the perspective and I just needed time to adjust.

tye Then the back ground itself is really plain and kind of boring. Not adult enough for adults, too much for YA, I don’t know what this book wants to be, but it’s boring. Curse of Strahd fans do well to read it as a guideline of sorts for a more sympathetic and human Strahd, for depth in the world they are to put so much passion in, and for a good book in general that they won’t regret, but I might be a touch generous with this book.

This is a very well-written, compelling story of how Strahd became what he is. PN Elrod really knows how to capture the desolate life a vampire. That’s my expert review! The narrator does a good job most of the time. The emotional content is also fierce, as is the main character, so you would expect no less.

I can’t tell you how often I had listened to the abridged audio read by Roddy McDowell. The young and idealistic brother to the war-hardened Strahd von Zarovich loves beautiful Tatyana, but so does Strahd.

Sex, often over used in many novels, is almost not here jemoirs all, except for alluding tonot describing it. This has to be one of the better vampire mythologies that I have read in a long time. I really wish McDowall would have read an unabridged version of the book. I have always like Strahd’s character since his introduction in the original Ravenloft adventure which me and my party of adventures failed at our attempt to vanquish this foe- I still have my grudge and have read other novels featuring the vampire.
